Welcome, I’m so glad that you’re here. I’m Dez (she/they)
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I’m a queer Chicana feminist, therapist, educator, photographer, and activist. I was born and raised in the Central Valley of California, with a few years spent in Southern California, and now call New York City home.
Much of my practice is about creating the kind of space I once longed for—a space that is identity-affirming, empowering, and rooted in cultural pride. Whether we are navigating complex family dynamics, systemic oppression, or personal trauma, we will honor your full context, viewing your history as a source of strength rather than a barrier.
I am passionate about social justice and supporting the holisitc health and wellbeing of Black Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQ+ folks of color, Latine, and Chicanx communities.
My hope is to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and warmth. Helping you reconnect with your inner wisdom and reclaim your power in ways that feel true and meaningful to you.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, with an emphasis on Mujersita Liberation Psychology. I provide telehealth psychotherapy to adults and couples residing in New York State.
